Alexandra-Maria-Lara
Alexandra Maria Lara, a Romanian and German actress working on TV and in films is most well-known for her roles in films like Rush as well as Downfall Youth Without Youth Control. Being the sole daughter of Romanian actress Valentin Platareanu, Alexandra started her professional career in showbiz as a child. She was a lead actress in TV dramas as young as the age of 16. Her critically acclaimed role in the made-for-television film Der Tunnel paved way for many other noteworthy roles, including the role of Adolf Hitler's secretary Traudl Junge from the commercially and critically popular Oscar nominated war-time drama film Downfall. The Reader as well as Der Baader Meinhof Komplex were both nominated for Oscars. Alexandra's work has led her to be involved in a variety of notable international and national projects. This includes the British biographical Control Greek drama film The Dust of Time and the French historical miniseries Napoleon and many more. Her other roles include being an official jury member for two festivals: The Transylvania International Film Festival and Cannes Film Festival.
