Matthew Matt James was born in North Carolina on December 5 1991. His parents are Manny James, and Patty James. He has the blood of a Nigerian mother, and an American caucasian father. He graduated in the year 2010 in the class of Sanderson High School. In 2015, James earned his Bachelor of Economics from Wake Forest University. James was famous after his appearance on The Bachelorette as a reality TV celebrity. In 2020, he was chosen to play the role of bachelor in season 25, becoming one of the very first African American male lead which will premiere in 2021. James's physique, appearance and personality made him a good fit to play the role. Rachael Krakconnell was the one he had chosen as his partner throughout the season. James teamed up with famous professional dancer Arnold in 2021. They competed in season 30 of Dancing with the Stars. James and Arnold came 12th.
